John walsh was a loving Dad, Husband, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend. He was sadly taken from us in February 2006 at the age of 49 after a very short illness of cancer, john and his family found out he had cancer in december 2005 and lost the fight in february. He lived in Ebbw Vale, Gwent with his wife Viv and it was here that he passed in the comfort of his own home with his family.

John was a very very well known and well loved man, he was everyone's friend and would always put himself out to help his family and friends at any cost.

He was a mechanic and bus driver as soon as any of the younger family members passed their driving test they knew to go to Uncle John as he always knew someone who had a car for sale. If anyone had anything wrong with their cars or motorbikes they knew exactly who to call and if John couldn't do it he alway knew someone who could.

John loved his dogs and used to race Greyhounds, he also had a sheepdog called Fly and another dog called George.

He used to play darts on a Monday eveing at the Brittania Inn in Newtown, Ebbw Vale and was captain of the team there for a while. He was a well respected member of the team who could always be relied upon to put his all into the matches he played.

Overall John as I mentioned before was a well known, well loved, number 1 top man and he is missed by us all everyday and always will be.

Have a pint up there for us Uncle John and look in on us all from time to time.

John has I get older and think of the good old days that we spent together as kids teenagers and then has adults, I shudder the thought, at the things we done, A pair of wicked sods nothing bad I hasten to add, France together in 1967, motorbikes on the moores, and never got caught by the police, only because John was to fast for them, Liptons in Ebbw Vale, Drinking under age up the castle I got done, John got away with it what a laugh that was, I have to tell you, John was the only one, that had the guts to jump on the back of a bull up the moores and ride it, He was fearless when it came to animals, I could tell you many more things about John, But most of all he was a really good trusted friend, I miss you and think of you alot, see you soon Alan

r.i.p. john

It was a shock to the hole community that you were sadly taken away.
I remember the great times you and viv had up the britannia not only on a regular night but on charity events and karaoke if only we could turn the clock back you will still be here today having fun and socialising with your friends and family.
Your in a better place now looking down and following each and every move of your loved one's guiding them through every place and step they take.
You will always be remembered and sadly missedxxxxxxx
